Severn Trent Services has introduced the ClorTec SCT mini on-site sodium hypochlorite generating system.
Designed to meet water disinfection requirements of the swimming pool leisure industry, its compact size makes the SCT ideally suited for use in pools where low levels of disinfectant are required.
Skid mounted and simple to maintain, the system operates on batch mode to ensure no degradation in strength of hypochlorite solution and to prevent the formation of by-products that are common with the long-term storage of bulk hypochlorite.
Air is blown into the ClorTec SCT at the point of production, which dilutes the hydrogen to a level claimed to be up to 100 times lower than the legal safety limit.
The system is classified as non-hazardous and does away with the necessity of having to store hazardous chemicals in public access environments such as swimming pools.
